I got an email with the subject line, "New Soul Music from RVA" and I was immediately intrigued. "RVA" is shorthand for Richmond, Virginia and I was very excited to open this email and listen to the promised soul music.
And boy does this song deliver. It starts off with an organ tone, goes right into some of the catchiest hooks I've heard all year, and yes, there's a horn section.
There's not a lot of info that I could find, but check out the song and keep an eye on Andrew's Bandcamp Page. It appears to be from a forthcoming album called Bedroom Soul Symphony, Pt. 1, which is about as old-school Soul as an album title can get!
