Party Time! (Excellent!)

Well, here we are at the end of the year. This year, I made the resolution to do more of stuff that I love. To do more things that I'm passionate about instead of just sitting around wishing I could do things that I'm passionate about. And then the Contrast Podcast went on hiatus for a little bit and it gave me the kick in the pants I needed to start doing my Podcast in earnest!

I had a special guest on the first of what I hope will be an annual year end countdown! I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it! And I hope you'll join me next week as I countdown the top 10 artists I've listened to this year according to Last.fm!

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

From the middle of a tornado

Well, it may be that I have to do next week's Year-End countdown from somewhere over the rainbow because it really feels like the house is about to be blown away. But don't worry, I have ruby-slippers. And those ruby slippers double as a wireless internet connection, so I'll be just fine in posting next week...unless the wicked witch of the west sets the laptop on fire.....(end extended Wizard of Oz reverie. It's windy, ok?)

Here's the last actual countdown of the year. Thanks for tuning in and telling your friends and I hope 2011 is just as awesome as 2010!

Safe and sound back home

Well the file is back on its normal server, which means that you can download it directly from the site! Hooray!

I also will, for the first time, talk about a song that's on the podcast. I start off the podcast by talking about The Savings and Loan. They are on a label run by a blogger that I really look up to named Matthew. Here's his blog and here's his label's website. If you like the first song on the podcast then you need to go to the label website and get The Savings and Loan album. Also, might I recommend the Inspector Tapehead album as well.

Here's the countdown!

It may be more difficult to download, but at least it's more rambly!

Well, here is the longest podcast I've ever created. I talk kind of a lot between a lot of the songs. It's so long, in fact, that I had to upload it to another site that hosts bigger files. The problem is that that means the file doesn't end in ".mp3" and so you can't play it from here. I'm really not sure how many people play it from the page and how many people download it and play it later. I have a feeling it's mostly the latter, which is why i didn't worry about it too much! You have to click on the link and then download it from the hosting site. Don't worry. I'm not going to be doing this often. Mostly, you'll be able to get it direct from here.

Oh, and sorry about the ads. Just think of it as a gig in a seedy part of town because that's where the venue is that holds more people. Maybe that'll help.
