Throwback Thursday: 1997 (11 Weeks at #1)

How crazy is it that no song spent only 9 or 10 weeks at #1 in the entirety of the 90's? That is insane.

This was ALL OVER the radio in the summer of 97. I have come back around on it and I can kind of like it again, but it was definitely one of those "played out" songs. One of the best examples, actually.

I think this was the #1 song in the Billboard magazine I have from that year. I would imagine I got it at some point during the summer, so probably, right?

To celebrate its 55th anniversary, Billboard is rolling out a countdown of the top 100 charting songs in its history. So, since that's kind of what I'm doing on an upcoming bonus episode, I thought I'd try to track down videos for each set of ten as they are rolled out.
