Well, once again, I've forgotten the anniversary of the podcast. Actually....now that I think of it, this is the first time that's happened. I was thinking of the anniversary of the blog itself, which i have missed, I believe, every single year. No, I usually remember the podcast's birthday. Hopefully, the 4th birthday isn't a big one.

It's a great show this week. A bunch of movement and surprises and bonus songs and stuff that I included without remembering that i could be playing bonus songs to celebrate, but rather just playing bonus songs because I like them! (Idea for t-shirt: "Live life like it's your podcast's birthday")

It's a sultry, film-noirish life I lead, isn't it? (Just noticed the word "noirish" looks like "no irish", which is a stance I certainly don't hold any truck with. Irish Welcome!)

New Countdown: Deadline Achieved!

Well, last week was about not meeting a deadline I set for myself. But I'm writing THIS on Saturday morning! So we're doing great over here. My mother-in-law is set to take care of the kids this afternoon and evening and my wife and I are going to try to achieve a good mixture of relaxation and responsibility-accomplishment!

The countdown is really in a very fun and enjoyable place, these days, you guys. Maybe it feels like this every spring when the winter is ending and everything is looking up. Having great music to listen to is the delicious, hard-rocking icing on the cake!

Beware the Ides of March....because the Rock Music might sneak up behind you and stab you in the back...but, like, in a good way? Haha. I think that completely made sense. Although if there's some sort of database for "Rock Music is a gateway to drugs and violence", I'm probably not helping the cause along any.

Ah! I forgot to play any Dropkick Murphys for St Patrick's Day!!! Oh well, maybe I'll think of it next week and do it after the fact.

Ugh, Spring Forward is going to suuuuck, but at least we'll have alternative music to listen to as we feel all disjointed and weird. Well, I had a bunch of time to do this, with the snow storm and everything, but, of course, decided to wait until the last possible moment to actually record most of it. I know some things go better if you're under pressure, but I mean, come on! :)

I can't do that again next week because I'm going to a concert on Saturday night! If you're interested in knowing more, you literally have to wait through the whole episode to find out details. So just forget I mentioned anything and then when I bring it up, it'll be like "Oh yeah! I *was* interested in that!"

Late again. It's beginning to feel like 2010, based on how awful I've been about the punctuality of this podcast. What can I say? Sometimes, life gets in the way. But this isn't going to derail anything so don't start getting those worries in your pretty little heads.

As it happened, being late allowed me to do more immediate Grammy coverage than I would have been able to do if I'd tried to report from NEXT Sunday. So I guess that's a blessing in disguise.

This countdown has a lot of bonus songs in it, very few of which I planned beforehand. It's not as much as LAST week's, but it's still a lot.

New Countdown: The Voice is Back! And it's working overtime!
