It's amazing what a big difference a big video budget can make. There's almost too much happening in this one. I like the message, but it's not exactly my cup of tea in terms of style, I guess.

Still, cool that Ms. Trainor has made it back to the Top Ten

I feel like I should check out this album. I think that it could be either really good or really samey. This is a nice little ballad featuring John Legend!

Not a huge fan of this video or song. It feels like she's trying to ride her own coattails from the success of "All About That Bass" and it just doesn't work for me. What do you guys think?

Top Ten Tuesday: Meghan Trainor "All About That Bass"

I believe I first saw this song on Facebook. Someone posted it and I happened to see it. I'm not sure if it just started playing and I just started watching or what. That seems likely with the state of Facebook, so let's say that that's what happened.

Anyway. I was immediately taken by both the video and the song. It's a retro-sounding song about a very current problem and I like that the lyrics are inclusive. I like that the video is care-free and playful. It seems like everyone had a good time.

I'm really happy that this song made the Top Ten. If I'm not mistaken, it jumped from 28-8 this week!
